We have a new world now.Our capabilities are improving every day with new activities.Our perceptions and glances are in a virtual dimension, authenticity is replaced by impressions.Meeting points are between the extremes, and such speed reveals a network of relations that will challenge our imagination.Consequently, this extraordinary pluralism simplifies our perceptions.Our memories, perhaps to protect us, send away everything to eternity without a trace like a slide.

Airports, on the other hand, are one of the fastest-growing places in the situations that we refer to:The places where passengers from different cultures, beliefs and all the lives with a common goal of getting to somewhere meet unbeknownst to one another.Sometimes due to the excitement of reaching the destination and other times due to the design of the terminals, which is quite isolated, the travel experience of passengers in these temporary spaces comes to an end before they know it.

It is no exaggeration to say that airports are conflict-free spaces where people meet up with their own free will.They might be the spaces open to communication as points of democracy where the memory let itself go with the flow and becomes liberated.Therefore, by taking inspiration from this structure of the journey and the airport, it is extremely meaningful to bring together the space, the human, and the artist at a common point, with art.

While Istanbul Airport, one of the biggest meeting points in the world, tries to make this intense people circulation happy, it adds an aesthetic dimension to this relationship with the introduction of art.Last but not least, it is crucial that it also brings passengers together with the healing and peaceful power of art.In our world, where almost everything seeks a solution with a certain systematic approach, we think that it is a modern responsibility to propose new solutions for the union of art and life, as they are often neglected areas.In this context, creating an aesthetic environment with the artist's free suggestions without any restrictions other than the definition of space will make this meeting even more meaningful.When looking a little further, we can see that keeping the environment open to the suggestions and participation of artists who often cannot find a place for expression within the rules of the art market will make this open space more meaningful.

Young artists are the representatives of our future.However, keeping the conditions for their creation and representation functional is one of the responsibilities towards art.In this regard, the sensible thing to do is to apply positive discrimination for the participation of young artists and reserve a section of the airport project only for them.The other areas were kept entirely open to suggestions of all artists of all ages and, from this aspect, a meeting platform for every generation has been created.For these reasons, it is aimed that the İGA ART project will make a pioneering attempt by adding an artistic and inclusive dimension to its functions.Producing new artistic energy open to every suggestion, every technique, and every person will make a great contribution to the cultural and artistic environment of our country.In this environment, it is extremely remarkable that the cultural memory of Istanbul and Anatolia, and its energy belonging to this era, are shared at the highest level in an indiscriminate manner.Within the scope of this project, a large space will be allocated for both temporary and international events, taken place in our country, so that the people of the world will have a new location together with culture and art.
