Within the scope of its support for culture and art, Istanbul Airport operator iGA has collected all the works on this field under the roof of İGART. While the airport hosted many exhibitions, workshops and live music performances to this date with its innovative projects such as airport museum and library, it is, now, intended that more space will be allocated to art and artists will be supported.
+ - Who can participate in the competition?
There is no age limit for participation in the competition. All artists and designers can apply to enter the competition.
+ - What are the procedures for the competition and the conditions to enter?
There are no restrictions on materials or techniques; however, both the material and techniques used for the application or installation of the prefabricated artwork must be permanent and applicable within the framework of the physical features of the proposed project area (D1 - Check-in Zone). The use of sustainable and environmentally-friendly materials is recommended.
+ - Where is the competition area?
+ - What size are the columns?
There are columns in two diameters on the D floor, which are 1500mm and 2000mm. On the F floor, the columns are of a single size, 2000mm.
+ - What is the floor height and base thickness?
Regarding the height of the building and thickness of the base: The bottom level is at an elevation of 0.00, the check-in floor is at an elevation of +15.00, and the roof level is at the highest elevation of +38.75.
+ - What is the maximum weight that can be hung on the roof skylight?
The maximum weight that can be hung from the roof skylight is 8 tons. Ideally, this load should be hung from four different points.

+ - How will I learn that my application is approved?
After filling out all the information on the Application Form, then clicking the "Submit Application" button, an information screen appears and acknowledges that your application has been received. At the same time,an e-mail will be sent to your address you shared during the application, in order to inform you.
+ - What are the evaluation criteria for the ideas?
The ideas will be evaluated according to their different and creative/applicable, permanent, environmental interaction with the architectural structure by the Selection Committee.

+ - What is the maximum distance I can intervene outside the competition area?
Without disrupting passenger operations, the artwork that is to be created can extend no more than 2 meters from the spherical space.
